About Department

The Department of Commerce and Accountancy is one of the oldest departments which was established in the year 1983.
Commerce and accountancy have been a versatile area of the study right from its beginning. The faculty of Commerce has programmes at graduate and posts graduate levels. It offers three years’ Bachelor degree in Commerce with specialization in Financial Accounting and Auditing and two years Master degree in Commerce (M.Com.) with specialization in Advanced Accountancy. We also conduct remedial coaching for students. The college total students’ strength is dominated by department of commerce and accountancy.

To enrich the students for academic excellence.
To acquaint students with the changes taken place in the fields of Trade, Commerce and Industry.
To organized workshops, seminar, conferences, etc.
To increase potentiality of students for employment opportunities.
To encourage students to acquire techniques of Information Technology.

Our student, Miss. Anjalee Modi from commerce faculty has owned FIRST Prize in Avishkar Research Convention at District Level and Participated in the next round at University Level.
All our teachers from Department of Commerce and Accountancy have co-authored books of IDOL students of University of Mumbai
Dr. Samrat A. Jadhav has worked as Judge for ‘AVISHKAR’ – Research Convention organized by DSD, University of Mumbai during 2017-18, 2019-20 and 2020-21.
Dr. Kamlakar E. kamble has worked as External Referee for Ph.D. Viva in Commerce conducted at Research Centre at Gramonnati Mandal’s Arts, Commerce and Science College, Narayangaon affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University in the year 2021- 22
Dr. Samrat A. Jadhav has been invited as Resource Person in Workshops organized by DSD, University of Mumbai for preparing students for Research Competition during 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2021-22.
