He is having strong affinity with politics .He is a leader of comman man and so many years they contributed for Pleasant & Workers Party from student life.
He was the member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 1957,1967,1978,1985& 1990 to 1995(Total 27 years) from Alibag Constituency.
He was also elected twice opposition leader in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 1987 & 1989.
He was the Chairman of Public Audit Committee.
He was the Member of Local Self Government Committee.
He was the member of Special Right Committee.
He was also Associate with Alibag Agricultural Product Market Committee, Raigad Bazar , Kulaba Maternity Hospitals a Chairman.
He is one of the well known Educationalist in Maharashtra. He is devoted his rite /only concentrated on spreading the education for workers in Raigad, Thane & Sindurga Districts especially rural area by making Schools & colleges in all citizens.
He is a President of Konkan Education Society Alibag, Janta Shikshan Mandals Alibag and Chairman of Maharashtra State Homeopathic Medical college Federation .
He is a founder of First Law College in Raigad District
He was received first Balasaheb Arekar Award in 2000 for his contribution in Education , Social, Cultural and Political filed.
